Mr Robot face

We made Mr robot face with a CD gift box, paper clips and some coloured paper. The Plug was the little mans idea, he thinks we should leave Mr robot face outside in a storm and let lightning strike the plug to bring him to life.
very imaginative!

It’s coming up to 3 years since I last wrote in this blog and, I’ll be honest, it may as well be a lifetime ago. So much has changed for our little family in such a short space of time.   I lost my mum, a loss that coincided with a career change and the welcoming of a live-out nanny to our household.   Whilst the latter two were considered positives - a big step forward for my career and more help at home, yay! The loss of a parent is not something one can prepare for or come to terms with in any space of time, let alone the 6 weeks I had to say goodbye to my mother, prepare for a new job and arrange a new timetable for the family – one which would see me coming and going at all hours with military precision. Fun filled day out on a budget.

So, the October half term decided to, very helpfully, fall the very week before I got paid.  It was my week off with the little man and I was keen to make it a fun one; though we were on a budget.  One of our most memorable days out during the holidays was also one of the cheapest, I kid you not, and the little man still hasn’t stopped talking about it. We had an actual full day of fun family adventure for under £20! Our journey started at the Albert dock ferry terminal where we bought our tickets and were pleasantly surprised to find out that Mersey Travel were running a half term promotion. Three attractions for the price of one: Ferry ride, Spaceport and the U-boat Story. We hopped aboard the ferry and sat outside on the top deck to listen to some fascinating facts about Liverpool.
